Blatant Bill (gives you a chill) and presents: The Rumpelstiltskin Roundelle
Endmix made 12 January 2000

This remarkable poem has been written by Tom Scheelings. It was intended to fill a gap, or rather a niche in the market: A dance for people who have a wooden or otherwise artificial leg. Tom had the idea that Rumpelstiltskin had a wooden leg, because, in a childrens movie, he noticed that he danced in a remarkable way when saying the poem about his name. Now I, as an expert on Grimm's fairytales, checked the story in a German release of Grimms tales, published 1939, and now I happen to know that this is not at all true!

Even under the concept of Blatant Bill, I consider this a weird poem. But I could not resist adding sound to it. And here it is. Here we present a hopalong dance with wooden sounds and in a woody rhytmic style. But be warned: even though I made music to it, I still consider this music to be weird.
