PLUG IT IN AND PLAY By: BLATANT BILL I got the idea from a system management room where I noticed a leaflet on the wall with this text: PLUG AND PLAY - PLUG AND PRAY - PLUG AND PAY, which obviously referred to the Plug and Play concept, and maybe also to a thing which devotees call: Virus '95. It also referred to a saying of my English teacher: A Dirty Mind is A Joy Forever! All of this amused me very much, and I wrote the text for this little song. The form of the music took some contemplating, but finally I thought: since it is a song about a concept from a man (You know Who) who may be considered to be the god of the PC, it will be a gospel. The first performances of the song by Quintese made me realize that the music itself should appeal more to the muscles that make you grin. That is why I changed the band into a MIDI group of children with instruments to make noise with, accompanied by a sort of weird dixyland band. Fortunately, before their performance, the members of this band had an afternoon with plenty of drinks. I only had to add my slightly manipulated voice and: Presto. I hope that you enjoy it: it could become the 1999 Summer Hit, you know! PLUG IT IN AND PRAY I bought a new expansion card Plug it in and pray 'Cause my computer is so smart Plug it in and pray Plugged it in and started up The system crashed and just blew up And all I had to say ......
